This moment is an invitation for us to be as clear about what we want to be committed to and for the sake of what. To embody what we are committed to, we must consistently be in practice to create more possibilities for the future we are fighting for. It is our calling and responsibility as leaders in our communities and the larger global movements to liberate all oppressed people that are connected to us.

“I am a commitment to engaging in principled struggle for the sake of transformative organizing and healthy movement-building” — Nhawndie, BY100 Organizing Director

In this time of transition, we are inviting all leadership levels within BYP100 and our supporters beyond the organization to consider what you want to commit to practice for your visions of liberation. Nhawndie shares their organizational commitment in one of the slide deck videos to offer an example of what they will be practicing towards liberation. As we end this blog series, we want to invite you to create an individual, organizational, or community commitment centered on what you care about and the work you want to be up to make that more possible!

This last blog of this series is broken up into videos by D’atra “Dee Dee”, BYP100 National Director, and Nhawndie. They review some of how we can move towards a new shaping organizationally. They explain what the staff has been up to, including but not limited to coordination of existing and emerging committees, chapter pods for growing communication amongst all levels of leadership with the organization, proposed timeline for this year, and invitations to re-ground in the core frameworks of BYP100. The slide deck and videos for Blog IV are public and can be watched here!

Here are some songs giving us Black joy and grounding organizing texts we invite you to check out:

Revolutionary love,
